Functions/Duties:

Perform a variety of duties related to Wafer Fab production. Requires prolonged standing (10 to 12 hrs per day). Must be able to recognize problems & take appropriate corrective actions, be an individual contributor to the manufacturing team and be directly responsible for material management.  Must be able to qualify on multiple toolsets in all areas of the fab. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Follow inventory buildup as it moves through the fab and assist each area to process material through capacity constraints
• Collaborate with Foreman and Team Members in all areas and manufacturing modules
• Correctly process production material on equipment in which you are properly trained
• Use the correct metrology equipment to monitor the measurable parameters of the material being processed
• Ensure that all equipment used for processing production material has been successfully qualified
• The accurate documentation of material processing and equipment qualifications
• Work safely and observing all safety rules/regulations
• Train fab personnel on the operation and processing of material on tool types for which one is certified
• Follow and participate in designated fab initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, etc.

Current Skills/Competencies:

• Must be willing to take on new challenges and become certified on multiple tool sets in the fab
• Ability to work in a different area week-to-week or day-to-day
• Ability to read and follow instructions, use simple mathematics & keep accurate production records
• Have a high mechanical aptitude for learning new skills quickly and effectively
• Ability to work with team members interchangeably 
• Extreme accuracy in data recording, transferring and in arithmetic calculations
• Ability to operate a personal computer
• Must be able to use a microscope
• Accurately communicate verbally and in written form
• Must conform to special dress requirements which include wearing no cosmetics
• Good dexterity and ability to use the hands for handling the product

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Skills Background:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent G.E.D.
• Manufacturing floor experience
