What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at X-FAB TEXAS INC?
Functions / Duties:
Scheduling and performing equipment calibration. Execution of routine ESD and aerosol particle counts inside the wafer fab. Maintain all calibration documents in accordance with governing procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Performance verification, repair, diagnostics and calibration of electronic equipment.
- Performing software, modular and component level upgrades and product modifications using schematics, diagnostic tools and procedures that comply with standard industry practices.
- Perform and maintain accurate records for wafer fab particle monitoring per ISO 16644.
- Perform and maintain accurate records for wafer fab ESD testing.
- Maintaining accurate records of tests and services performed, entering required information in the company's database.
- Calibration and repair of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
- Developing calibration procedures and selecting appropriate standards.
- Completing applicable documentation related to assignments in a timely manner.
- Complying with all EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) requirements.
Current Skills / Competencies:
- Experience with working in an electronic environment
- Familiarity with various metrology tools and their functions
- Knowledge of general purpose test equipment such as multimeters and counters as well as basic hand tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a proven team player and self-starter
- Strong Microsoft computer skills
- Some heavy lifting may be required
A.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technologies or equivalent experience in a related technical field. Three years of calibration experience in private industry or military service preferred.
