Position Overview:
X-Bow Systems is seeking support our procurement and supply chain operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in data entry, purchasing support, inventory management, and planning. The ideal candidate will be organized, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry:
- Accurately input and maintain procurement-related data in company systems and databases.
- Ensure all records are up-to-date and comply with company standards.
- Purchasing Support:
- Assist in processing purchase orders and tracking order statuses.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to confirm order details and delivery timelines.
- Support the procurement team in sourcing materials and negotiating pricing.
- Inventory Management:
- Help track and manage inventory levels across multiple locations (Sacramento and Luling).
- Conduct inventory audits and ensure proper documentation of stock levels.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize inventory control processes.
- Planning:
- Assist in developing procurement plans to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
- Support forecasting and planning activities to ensure adequate supply of materials.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
