Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to own product requirements for our smart home camera products. This role requires a customer-centric approach to champion product features, functionality, and experience. The Product Manager will lead the product development phases by collaborating with cross-functional teams during the research and definition stages. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing clear and concise documents and a background in the consumer electronics industry.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of the hardware and software roadmap for smart home camera products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term vision.
Define and clearly communicate product and business requirements, including Use Cases, Features, User Experience, Business, Compatibility, and Transition.
Identify targeted users, key problems the products are designed to solve, and key competencies of the products.
Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, schedule, performance, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, etc.) throughout the complete product development cycle.
Analyze data and user insights to validate assumptions, measure product performance, and inform decision-making.
Stay informed on industry trends and competitive dynamics in the smart home market to help refine product strategies.
Qualifications:
Master's in Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of product management experience in the consumer electronics industry.
5+ years of experience in consumer internet technologies.
This role requires communication with overseas partners and teams in China, bilingual in English in Chinese Mandarin is required.
Excellent customer experience intuition.
Proven track record of successfully delivering consumer-facing hardware and software products from start to finish.
Experience in metrics-driven user behavior analysis.
Experience writing clear and concise product requirements documents.
Results and deadline-driven, with a motivated self-starter attitude and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a startup environment.
Experience with photo and video camera-related products or connected home products.
Active and passionate participant in the smart home products industry.
Strong strategic aptitude; ability to define and measure the success of a product or feature based on user behavior analysis and data.
Entrepreneurial drive and passion for innovation.
