We’re seeking a detail-oriented Cannabis Cultivation Technician to support the daily care and production of cannabis plants throughout the entire cultivation cycle at our facility in Jacksonville, Illinois. 

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the cultivation team to maintain plant health, execute cultivation best practices, and ensure compliance with company SOPs and Illinois state regulations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality cannabis through consistent execution and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities


Clone, propagate, transplant, and maintain cannabis plants through all stages of growth, from propagation to harvest.

Water and feed plants according to established irrigation and nutrient schedules.

Perform canopy management activities, including pruning, topping, trellising, defoliation, and plant training.

Execute crop steering and cultivation tasks as directed by cultivation leadership.

Monitor plants for pests, pathogens, nutrient deficiencies, mold, and other signs of stress, reporting concerns promptly.

Assist with harvest activities while handling plants carefully to maintain quality and prevent contamination or damage.

Clean and sanitize cultivation rooms, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Follow all PPE requirements, OSHA safety standards, and company safety protocols.

Adhere to company SOPs, plant tracking procedures, and Illinois cannabis regulatory requirements.

Meet daily production goals and harvest timelines while maintaining quality standards.


What We're Looking For

Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on work in a fast-paced cultivation environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance.

Previous cultivation, agriculture, horticulture, greenhouse, or cannabis experience is preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements


Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a cultivation environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.

Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.


Required Qualifications


Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Illinois cannabis agent credentials as required by state law.

High school diploma or GED required.

Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory requirements with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout an entire shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and strong plant aromas.

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
