Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct preliminary assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history.
• Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and implant procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the dental clinic.

Skills

• Experience with Dentrix software preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
