Description:
Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned office or clinic.
Reports to: Director of Physician Practices
Qualifications:
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required License/Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of date of hire
Valid driver's license and use of a vehicle for on the job
Certification or completion of coursework for Medical Assisting
Minimum Education
Athena and Meditech experience preferred
Working knowledge of computers, telephones, copy and fax machines required
Demonstrate knowledge of icd-9, icd-10, cpt codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds.
