What are the responsibilities and job description for the ER/Monitor Tech position at Wythe County Community Hospital?
Monitors cardiac telemetry on patients within the Emergency Department. Performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned area.
Reports to: Director of ER
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Basic keyboarding/typing skills equivalent to 20 wpm. Basic computer skills.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Coursework in medical terminology and telemetry
Minimum Work Experience
Previous secretarial experience, preferably in a medical setting.
