1. SUMMARY: The Packer prepares packages for shipping by performing inspections, completed paperwork, and following company procedures.

Shipping Lead and Supervisor
3. HOURS:
Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM or 8:00AM – 4:30PM including a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch break
4. FLSA STATUS:
Non-Exempt

6. QUALIFICATIONS:
6.1. High School Diploma is required.
6.2. Strong ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
6.3. Ability to perform basic math functions, including conversions from pieces to feet to meters.
6.4. Familiar with shipping practices and handling methods is a plus.
6.5. Ability to manage priorities and workflows.
6.6. Attention to detail.
6.7. No experience necessary, training will be completed on the job.

8. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
8.1. Efficiently sets up packing table and parts per Work Instruction.
8.1.1. Prepare completed products for shipping by weighing, labeling, and recording information about each package on the Packing Form.
8.2. Performs in-line inspection of material.
8.3. Uses equipment such as a digital scale and circular saw correctly and while following safety procedures.
8.4. Pack wires per Work Instruction.
8.5. Completes paperwork for each job completely and accurately.
8.6. Monitors work areas for neat appearance and proper use of and organization of tools, materials, and paperwork.
8.7. Ensures that jobs are packed in a timely manner so shipper can prepare Packing List and documentation in order to ship.
8.8. Ensures that the prepared packages make it to their designated locations.
8.9. Creates labels and properly reports production through the IQMS system.
8.10. Follows all company procedures regarding packaging.
8.11. Identify and disprove of defective items.
8.12. Accurately weighs and counts production as required.
8.13. Assists in the training of new employees.
9. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
9.1. Continually required to stand and walk.
9.2. Occasionally required to sit.
9.3. Continually required to utilize finger and hand dexterity.
9.4. Frequently required to bend or kneel.
9.5. Continually utilizes visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard.
