Duties
- Provide daily pet care including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining cleanliness
- Exercise pets through walks, playtime, and other activities tailored to each animal’s needs
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Monitor pets’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns to pet owners
- Perform grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing pets as needed
- Assist with training exercises, including basic dog training techniques
- Maintain detailed records of pet care activities and communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ensure the safety of animals during interactions and while in transit or at the place
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet sitting, animal handling, or kennel work preferred
- Knowledge of dog training, veterinary procedures, or animal restraint techniques is a plus
- Veterinary technician or assistant experience highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to handle multiple animals safely and compassionately
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred for mobility across multiple locations
- A genuine love for animals and dedication to providing high-quality care
