Job Summary

Duties
- Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring safety and enrichment during outings
- Provide attentive pet sitting services in clients’ homes or at your place, including feeding, administering medication, and supervising playtime
- Assist with basic dog training techniques to promote good behavior and socialization
- Handle animals with care using proper restraint and handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and handlers
- Maintain cleanliness of pet areas, including grooming stations and kennels, ensuring a hygienic environment
- Observe animals closely for signs of health issues or distress, reporting concerns promptly to pet owners
- Support pet owners with updates on their pets’ well-being and activities during visits
Qualifications
- Previous experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary procedures is a plus
- Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is advantageous
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet grooming, and kennel management is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for transporting supplies or assisting larger animals
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards clients and their pets
- Passionate about animal welfare with a genuine enthusiasm for caring for animals of all types, including dogs and horses if applicable
