District Wide Maintenance

Job Overview
Following is a description of various duties/responsibilities that may be required:

Carpentry duties, lock changing, lock repair, door closers, repair chain link fencing, repair of windows and doors, partitions. Mount and replace acoustical tile to walls and ceilings; floor tile to walls and ceilings; floor tiles and sheet plastic wall coverings. Install window shades, blinds, curtain rods and wall fans.

Light duty masonry work as well as painting district wide. Order materials and supplies as required; keep adequate inventory of supplies used in performance of daily duties.

Applicant must be able to work from blueprints, drawings and oral instruction and have thorough knowledge of the use of carpenter’s hand tools and power tools, selection of specified types of lumber and other materials, preparation of layouts using rules, framing and calipers.

Must be knowledgeable in the repair and proper use of various grounds keeping and cleaning equipment; such as tractors, lawnmowers, snow-blowers and vacuum cleaners; operate a snow plow and be part of the Districts’ snow removal team.

Be willing to work hours outside scheduled shift and weekends, holidays and during emergencies as may be required. Substitute for other employees of various classifications. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
• Must be able to lift over fifty (50) pounds

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
