What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at Wyoming Valley Montessori School?
Wyoming Valley Montessori School in Kingston, Pennsylvania is looking for full-time assistant for the 2025-2026 term in a classroom setting with mixed age children (Lower Elementary = Grades 1-3). We are seeking highly-motivated individuals to join us during the traditional school year.
General duties would include: Assisting head teacher in the implementation of our program in accordance with school policies and Montessori philosophy. Maintaining a safe, healthy and educational environment for the children. Helping students develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education. Maintaining cleanliness in the classroom. Promoting our mission by "Inspiring children who will change the world."
The candidate’s background must include: Bachelor's Degree (Education), Elementary Teacher credentials and experience teaching young children. Montessori certification and/or familiarity with the Montessori curriculum is a plus.
