Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses.
- Provide preventive care services, including immunizations, screenings, and health education..
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems Epic or for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, and geriatrics for comprehensive patient management.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to enhance access to care for patients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic) and medical coding (ICD-10).
- Background in pediatrics or experience working with children is advantageous.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and senior care management is a plus.
- Experience with outpatient services, home care, or hospice & palliative medicine is desirable.
