Education
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
Associate's Degree
Experience
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically Mechanics)
**OR**
Education & Experience Substitution
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Mechanics)
- Assist with the inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of fleet automotive equipment, as well as equipment used in grounds maintenance.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections, services, and repairs.
- Maintain documentation related to inspections, services, and repairs.
- Ensure that equipment that requires annual inspection is kept up to date, including proper record-keeping.
- Procure the necessary parts needed to complete repairs and maintenance. Keep an inventory of parts.
- Schedule vehicles for use by facility staff.
- Keep shop, shop equipment, and vehicles clean, operable, and in a safe condition.
- Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance on campus generators in accordance with NFPA 110 and maintain all pertinent records for Life Safety Code inspection of generators.
- Design and fabricate parts for grounds keeping and other equipment as necessary.
- Ensure the safety of self and others in the performance of duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
