Duties
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases and data models to support business needs and reporting requirements.
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Talend or Python to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources.
- Create compelling dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other reporting tools to communicate insights effectively.
- Conduct detailed analysis using Excel data analysis techniques, R, or Python to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the requirements analysis phase to define data needs and develop scalable solutions aligned with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Perform database design tasks ensuring efficient query management and optimal performance of SQL databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Support business intelligence initiatives by developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations that facilitate strategic decision-making.
Skills
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL programming, database design, and query management across SQL databases like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization and dashboard development using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools such as Talend or scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell) for data integration tasks.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python and R for statistical analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) analysis to support project management and software development efforts.
- Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Understanding of linked data concepts and how they enhance data analytics capabilities across interconnected datasets.
