Job Summary:
In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the consistent, accurate, and compliant implementation of child screening practices across program sites. This position supports site-based staff through training, technical assistance, data monitoring, and direct participation in screenings to ensure that vision, hearing, and developmental screenings are conducted regularly and documented appropriately. The Specialist plays a critical role in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and early identification of children who may need additional support or referrals.
Travel Requirements:
WCFD provides services in nine counties in eastern Wyoming, with primary duties for this position focused in Converse, Goshen, Platte, and Niobrara counties. Travel is required to train and support staff with screenings and quality assurance activities. Your assigned work location may be in any of these four counties, and a company vehicle will be provided for travel to sites outside of your assigned office location.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in early childhood education, early intervention, special education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of developmental, vision, and hearing screening processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to train, coach, and support adult learners.
- Experience with data tracking and reporting systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D. and be 18 years of age (state requirements).

- WCFD will only accept college degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
