Wyoming Casing Service

ON-Call 24/7 to run casing for drilling rigs. Raise after 90 days of field work.

Job Title: Casing

Essential Functions:

- Transport to/from job location
- Set-up casing equipment
- Run casing in/out of hole
- Load casing equipment

Tools/materials used during job completion:

- Pick-up truck and trailer
- Casing
- Elevator
- Tongs (Manual and Power)
- Slips (Manual and Air)
- Secondary clamp
- Thread protectors
- Rope and chain
- Hand tools (pipe wrench, hammer, etc.)
- PPE: Steel-toe boots, hard-hat, safety glasses, FRC

Significant work-site measurements: Tools and equipment are lifted on/off trucks and rig platform using hoists

- Manual tongs: Up to 100 force pounds to latch and secure casing.
- Power tongs: Up to 100 force pounds to latch/unlatch.
- Elevators: Up to 50 force pounds to latch and release on casing.
- Secondary clamp: up to 70 pounds; up to 50 force pounds to tighten bolts.
- Thread protectors: 8-17 pounds.
- Pipe dope: 22 pounds.
- Manual slips: up to 225 pounds. (Team lifted)
- Air slips: 62 pounds.
- Transport case with torque turn equipment: 50 pounds.
- CRT parts: bumper- 87 pounds, cage-68 pounds, crossover sub- 100 pounds, upper cam-

35 pounds and lower cam- 47 pounds.

Critical Demands of Job:

The following information describes the physical activities that are performed during the normal work day by the associates performing this job classification. The percentage of the normal work day that the physical activity is conducted will be identified as follows:

- Rarely: 1-5% of a single function and/or work day

- Occasionally: 6-33% of a single function and/or work day

- Frequently: 34-66% of a single function and/or work day

- Continuously: 67-100% of a single function and/or work day

Function: Drive to/from location.

Critical Demands:

1. Sitting tolerance- (Continuously) up to 5 hours; ride in truck to/from job location.

Function: Set-up/demobilize casing equipment.

Activity: Move equipment onto and off of rig floor.

Critical Demands:

1. Ladder climb- (Occasionally) Climb on/off truck bed/trailer to secure parts using a load chain or cable.

2. Stair climb- (Occasionally) up to 45 steps, climb onto and down from rig floor.
3. Walking- (Occasionally) move around job location.
4. Push/pull- (Rarely) up to 100 force pounds, guide equipment into place when hooked to hoist.

5. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate load chains/cables, maneuver equipment on rig floor.

6. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate load chains/cables, maneuver equipment on rig floor.

7. Crouch/kneel/forward bend- (Occasionally) handle equipment and chains/cables when moving casing equipment.

Function: Run casing.

Activity: Catch casing.

Critical Demands:

1. Standing tolerance- (Frequently) catch casing, remove thread protector, and operate elevator.

2. Low lift- (Rarely) up to 115 force pounds, lift manual slip and secondary clamp into position on casing.

3. High lift- (Occasionally) up to 17 pounds, remove thread protector and send down pipe rollers.

4. Push/pull- (Occasionally) up to 100 force pounds; open and close elevator.
5. Crouch, kneel, forward bend- (Occasionally) loosen/tighten secondary clamp.
6. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) handle rope when catching casing, remove thread protector, manipulate elevator, slips, clamps, and tools.

7. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) handle rope when catching casing, remove thread protector, manipulate elevator, slips, clamps, and tools.

Activity: Operate manual tong and air slips.

Critical Demands:

1. Standing tolerance- (Occasionally) up to 2 hours or for the first 20-30 sections of casing; monitor casing as it is being connected (Frequently) up to 8 hours operating air slips and monitor casing as it is being connected

2. Low lift/short carry- (Rarely) up to 115 force pounds, lift manual slip and secondary clamp into position on casing.

3. Push/pull- (Occasionally) up to 100 force pounds; open and close manual tong.
4. Crouch, kneel, forward bend- (Occasionally) maneuver manual tong and connect/disconnect from casing, loosen/tighten secondary clamp.

5. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate slips, clamps, tong, and tools.
6. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate slips, clamps, tong, and tools.

Activity: Operate power tong.

Critical Demands:

1. Standing tolerance- (Frequently) operate power tong and supervise crew.
2. Push/pull- (Occasionally) up to 50 force pounds, open and close tong
3. Elevated work- (Occasionally) operate power tong.
4. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) open and close tong, manipulate tong, and assist with floor operations when needed.

5. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) open and close tong, manipulate tong, and assist with floor operations when needed.

Activity: Stabbing

Critical Demands:

1. Ladder climb- (Occasionally) up to 40 steps, access stabbing platform.
2. Standing tolerance- (Frequently) wait for next joint of casing.
3. Push/pull- (Occasionally) up to 100 force pounds, catch and guide casing.
4. Elevated work- (Rarely) manipulate casing.
5. Forward bending- (Occasionally) reach casing.
6. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate casing and ladder climb.
7. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) manipulate casing and ladder climb.

Function: Torque turn

Critical Demands:

1. Low lift- (Rarely) up to 50 pounds, load/unload torque turn equipment in transport case.

2. Single-hand carry (Rarely) up to 50 pounds, up to 100 feet, torque turn equipment in transport case.

3. Stair climb- (Occasionally) up to 40 steps, access rig platform while carrying 50- pounds of equipment.

4. Standing tolerance- (Frequently) monitor/operate torque turn unit
5. Sitting tolerance- (Frequently) monitor/operate torque turn unit.
6. Right upper extremity- (Frequently) Set-up equipment and operate torque turn unit using computer.

7. Left upper extremity- (Frequently) Set-up equipment and operate torque turn unit using computer.

Function: CRT

Critical Demands: (Bumper, cage, and crossover sub are team lifted.)

1. Low lift- (Rarely) up to 50 pounds, change cross over sub.
2. Two-hand carry (Rarely) up to 50 pounds, up to 20 feet, change crossover sub
3. High lift- (Rarely) up to 45 pounds, up to 6 feet high, remove/replace parts when cleaning unit.

4. Stair climb- (Occasionally) up to 40 steps, access rig platform.
5. Standing tolerance- (Frequently) monitor CRT.
6. Sitting tolerance- (Frequently) monitor CRT.
7. Right upper extremity- (Occasionally) Clean CRT and switch crossover sub.
8. Left upper extremity- (Occasionally) Clean CRT and switch crossover sub.

Work Environment:

1. Lighting: Lighting varies depending on time of day.
2. Space: Space is adequate for functions that are performed.
3. Footing: Footing varies dependent on weather conditions and surface.
4. Temperature: Temperature varies according to time of year and weather conditions.
