What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glass Measurer / Field Supervisor position at WYNWOOD GLASS?
This position is responsible for coordinating in the field with Project Managers, accurately measuring openings, and helping supervise installations and field operations for custom glass projects throughout South Florida.
Responsibilities
- Measure and verify openings for:
- Shower enclosures
- Mirrors
- Office partitions
- Glass doors and interior systems
- Railings and specialty glass applications
- Coordinate directly with Project Managers, installers, and clients onsite
- Ensure measurements are accurate and code compliant
- Review field conditions before fabrication
- Assist with supervising field crews and monitoring installation quality
- Identify potential issues proactively and communicate solutions
- Maintain organized measurement records, photos, and documentation
- Represent the company professionally during client and contractor interactions
Qualifications
- Experience in the glass and glazing industry preferred
- Ability to read plans and understand field conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules
- Knowledge of shower systems, partitions, mirrors, and interior glazing systems preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
