Job Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily janitorial activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and performing essential maintenance tasks across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, and detail-oriented. Must have previous experience in personnel management, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general maintenance; HVAC experience preferred.
Building Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems, and building structures of the club;
- Conducts repairs to plumbing, such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains;
- Performs various duties involving painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work;
- Maintains the pool pumps and surrounding areas;
- Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures;
- Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls, and paves brick;
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Building Maintenance.
Janitorial Supervisor Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, assigning tasks and ensuring proper cleaning procedures are followed.
- Create and manage staff schedules based on club events and member usage.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Address employee concerns and disciplinary issues when necessary.
Quality Control:
- Regularly inspect all areas of the club for cleanliness and adherence to established standards.
- Conduct detailed quality checks of guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Identify and address any cleanliness issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain quality standards.
Cleaning Operations:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cleaning procedures for all areas of the club, including special event cleaning protocols.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, placing orders as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, events) to address cleaning needs related to repairs or special events.
Guest Service:
- Respond promptly to member and guest requests regarding housekeeping issues.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with members and guests.
- Address member complaints efficiently and ensure timely resolution.
Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.
- Monitor departmental budget and ensure cost-effective cleaning operations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations related to cleaning.
- Attends staff meetings and coordinates efforts to schedule work activities.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the General Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with members and guests

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
