- Educational Engagement: Implement age-appropriate activities focusing on motor skills, language development, and sensory play.
- Independence Support: Guide our toddler through "practical life" skills (e.g., meal prep, dressing, and tidying) consistent with Montessori principles.
- Outdoor Exploration: Lead daily "nature walks" and outdoor play in the local Marin landscape to encourage physical development and environmental awareness.
- Emotional Coaching: Use positive reinforcement and gentle boundary-setting to support social-emotional milestones.
- Collaboration: Maintain open communication with us regarding developmental progress and work alongside our household team to ensure a calm, organized environment.
- Educational Background: A degree or significant coursework in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or Psychology is highly preferred.
- Specialized Training: Experience or certification in Montessori or Waldorf methods is a major plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of childcare or teaching experience, ideally with the toddler age group.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Marin County (parks, libraries, and child-friendly trails).
- Attributes: Patient, observant, proactive, and deeply respectful of a child's autonomy.
- Health & Safety: CPR/First Aid certified; clean driving record.
- Schedule: Regular hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. May include occasional weekend shifts.
