We are seeking an imaginative and energetic part-time nanny/family assistant to join our warm, busy household in Boerum Hill near Downtown Brooklyn. You'll be providing after-school care for our curious, outgoing 6-year-old son. Your responsibilities will include school pickup and engaging him in imaginative play from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM most weekdays, with potentially occasional evenings or weekends by arrangement.
In addition, you'll handle light housekeeping tasks such as tidying, kid laundry, and resetting common spaces, along with home organization projects and simple meal prep. You will serve as the point person for our regular house cleaner and other household contractors. Approximate ideal hours are 1-5 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility.
The role offers $30-36/hr, with approximately 20 hours per week guaranteed, paid holidays, and PTO. We are looking for someone reliable, warm, and energetic, with at least two childcare references.
