Springfield Center, an Assisted Living, is seeking a full-time Activity Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The Activity Assistant/Coordinator will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.
Responsibilities of Activity Supervisor:
- Develops, maintains, and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
- Establishes and maintains ongoing contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations, and other useful resources for program development.
- Recruits plan and manage volunteer opportunities for the community
- Manages, trains, and develops staff and volunteers
- Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
- Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events
- Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle
- One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
- Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public
Qualifications of Activity Supervisor:
- At least two years of related experience
- A college degree strongly preferred.
