What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Clerk (Hotel) position at Wyndham NRG/Medical Center?
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, the ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding service while managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries. Experience with the OPERA Property Management System (PMS) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.
- Check guests in and out efficiently using the OPERA system.
- Manage room reservations, availability.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries professionally.
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Address guest concerns or complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and reports through the OPERA system.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Keep the front desk and lobby area organized, and presentable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel experience: 3 years (Preferred)
