Wyndham Indianapolis West is looking for a dependable, hands-on Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and operating at its best. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Complete basic repairs involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Inspect equipment and building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe, well-maintained property.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Keep the maintenance shop, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance experience preferred.
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building maintenance.
- Plumbing and electrical knowledge preferred. Candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in these areas are encouraged to apply.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and reaching.
