What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Wyndham Garden New Orleans Airport?
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations for our property. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, can independently manage daily tasks, and ensures the property remains safe, functional, and well‑maintained at all times. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to identify and resolve issues before they become larger problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and perform all general property maintenance and repairs
- Complete basic plumbing work (toilets, faucets, minor leaks)
- Handle minor electrical tasks (outlets, switches, fixtures, bulbs)
- Repair and maintain walls, doors, trim, and other interior surfaces
- Perform painting and minor drywall repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Maintain exterior areas, common spaces, and equipment
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
- Identify major repair needs and coordinate outside contractors when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative
- Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance tasks
- Maintain organized maintenance areas, tools, and supply inventory
- Ensure all work is completed professionally and safely, with minimal disruption to guests and staff
