Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry at Coopers Ale House. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled efficiently while maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host stand and dining area.
- Utilize point-of-sale systems for managing reservations and guest information effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for helping others and creating memorable experiences for guests is essential.
