Requirements:Job Responsibilities
- Sort all linens and treat stains
- Load all laundry into the washer and add specified cleaning agents
- Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
- Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisors
- Maintain all laundry equipment and inform the facilities manager as to any maintenance needs
- Perform additional laundry services when necessary
- Keep the laundry room, linen storage, and all laundry equipment clean and organized
- Ensure that the laundry room is maintained as a clean and safe workplace
- Follow all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations
- Report any safety concerns or hazards to management immediately
- Operate equipment according to all policies and procedures
- Follow all company service standards and procedures
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
- Lost & Found Items found in the laundry to be communicated to be supervisors and left in Housekeeping Office upon finding.
- Uphold the hotel's confidentiality and security standards.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in laundry, dry cleaning, or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays if required
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
