Wyndemere Country Club (WCC) in Naples, Florida, is offering an exciting opportunity for a warm and service-focused individual to join our Food & Beverage team as a Host/Hostess.

The Host/Hostess plays a vital role in upholding these standards by being the first point of contact in our dining outlets. This highly visible position sets the tone for each dining experience with a warm welcome, professional demeanor, and seamless coordination of reservations and seating.

The Host/Hostess works closely with the entire Food & Beverage team to ensure the smooth flow of service, enhance communication between the dining room and front desk, and provide an exceptional guest experience. In addition to greeting and seating members, this individual may assist with beverage service, table setups, and other tasks that contribute to an elevated dining atmosphere. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a natural passion for hospitality.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Host/Hostess serves as the welcoming face of Wyndemere’s dining experience, ensuring members and guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. By managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, and assisting with service flow, this role directly contributes to the success of the Food & Beverage team.

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Host/Hostess partners closely with servers, managers, and support staff to create a smooth, attentive, and enjoyable dining environment. The ideal candidate is polished, personable, and proactive, with a strong commitment to exceeding member expectations and embodying Wyndemere’s culture of hospitality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet members and their guests to the club with a smile and by using the member/guest’s name.
• Assist with seating and answering member inquiries/questions.
• If immediate seating is limited, must be able to provide members with estimated waiting times, and record guest names, locations, descriptions, and the number of people in the party on the waiting list.
• Must understand club standards and be comfortable communicating this to members and their guests, including but not limited to clothing, electronic device policy, reservations, etc.
• Treat all members in a respectful manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
• Interact with members as they arrive and as they leave the dining area to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Monitors members’ dress and professionalism to ensure the club is always well represented.
• Knows all table numbers and floor charts in the designated F&B outlet
• Work with an open mind, a positive attitude, and a smile.
• Ask servers if there is anything that they may need to expedite service.
• Make sure that daily menus are clean and properly placed in the dining room.
• Assist with any room re-sets when other responsibilities are completed. (Moving tables and chairs, restaurant set up, etc.)
• Understands and utilizes all safety and sanitation practices.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Club as established.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management and moves with a sense of urgency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of hosting experience in a hospitality setting is required.
• Skills & Knowledge: Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails is a plus, and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems is desirable.
• Interpersonal Abilities: Must be able to interact positively and professionally with guests, coworkers, and management, fostering a cooperative and supportive work environment.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Work Environment: Must thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting, performing duties efficiently under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
