We are hiring a skilled Shipping Clerk professional to join our talented team.
Responsibilities
- Organize finished goods and prepare them for shipment direct to a customer or for transfer to company warehouse.
- Moves material throughout the production area using a pallet jack
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items
- Operates jogger/aerator machine to turn stacks of paper product
- Work with members of the shipping team to see that all requests are handled promptly, and goods are shipped on time and/or stored properly.
- · Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by delivering production materials and supplies where needed
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience using a forklift is strongly preferred
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Ability to communicate well and work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain a high level of activity for prolonged periods and working primarily while standing
- Strong organizational/communication skills
