Packaging Quality Assurance Inspector (Printing & Converting)

Wynalda Packaging powers global brands with precision-made folding cartons. As our Packaging Quality Assurance Inspector, you keep quality locked in across printing, die-cutting, gluing, and bindery operations.

• Document start-up checks per Work Instructions on: printing presses, die-cutters, and gluers on Graphic Drive; and printing presses and bindery equipment on Montana Trail?
• Evaluate inbound raw materials and approve (or hold) them for production?
• Track retains for each job and department, and sign off on proofs, retains, and completion documentation?
• Validate dimensions (cards, wraps, books), color-match to customer samples, and test finished product performance?
• Prevent mix-ups by inspecting yellow-marked material before die-cutting, verifying correct separation at the die-cutter, and keeping suspect stock isolated?
• Confirm gluers have operational barcode readers and glue detectors; review pulls and take the right action?
• Initiate sorting documents, reconcile and record all scrap, and audit processes and personnel across the facility?
• Verify line clearance between jobs and check skid-tag information against skids prior to shipment?
• Perform milstandards checks and First Article Inspections, issue CAPARs, and file shortage forms for under-count jobs?
• Drive continuous improvement while handling other assigned tasks?

• 1st Shift: 6:30am – 3:00pm (overtime as needed)
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am (overtime as needed)

• High School Diploma or GED; manufacturing background preferred but not essential.
• Comfort with detailed, repetitive tasks; dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Conscientious about policies, procedures, and safety; respectful of colleagues and leadership.
• Goal-driven with a track record of meeting targets.
• Team-oriented, follows written and verbal directions, and collaborates effectively.
• Clear communicator (verbal and written) with attentive listening skills.
• Follows directions and completes tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong practical reasoning—able to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule-based instructions in environments with limited standardization.
