Wylander, a recruiting company for the disaster and restoration industry, is recruiting a Claims Collection Specialist for one of the largest contents-only restoration companies in the United States.

We are hiring Claims Specialists to collect on insurance claims for one of the largest contents-only restoration companies in the United States. Our client operates across six offices in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with over 250,000 square feet of climate-controlled storage, and works with every top-20 P&C carrier nationally. They specialize in full-service contents restoration, including textiles, electronics, pack-outs, cleaning, storage, and delivery.

This is a revenue-producing role — not a back-office billing function. You are the person who turns completed work into cash. We treat this role as a sales function and compensate accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Make 25 outbound calls per day to insurance adjusters to negotiate and collect on contents claims
• Build trusting relationships with adjusters across all major P&C; carriers to facilitate faster settlements

• Negotiate settlements and defend invoices using IICRC standards, OSHA standards, Xactimate pricing,
• and robust documentation, including 3D scans and detailed photographic inventories
• Own every claim from invoice submission through final payment — including homeowner follow-up and
• check tracking until cash is deposited in our bank
• Report daily metrics in the morning team huddle: outbound dials, live conversations, cash collected,
• promises to pay, and the month-to-date pace
• Escalate stuck claims to the Claims Manager for strategic support and carrier intervention
• Use our AI-powered knowledge base and carrier profiles to prepare for every call

Qualifications:

• Experience negotiating with insurance adjusters on property claims from the contractor side
• Comfortable making 25 outbound calls per day and building long-term phone relationships
• Understands the insurance claims lifecycle from invoice submission to settlement to payment
• Self-motivated and driven to earn commission — this plan rewards producers
• Professional phone presence and ability to build trust with adjusters over time
• Restoration industry experience — water mitigation, fire restoration, or contents restoration (Preferred)
• Existing relationships with adjusters at major P&C carriers (Preferred)
