Greenskeeper/Landscaper

Position Summary: 

The Greenskeeper/Landscaper team performs many outside tasks to help prepare the golf course for daily member play. Tasks involved for the job but are not limited to general operation of mowing equipment for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and common areas. Raking of bunkers, waste areas and cart paths, and operations of handheld equipment such as weed eaters, fly mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and blowers. 

Responsibilities:

• Performs general landscape maintenance using hand-held equipment. 
• Rakes and maintains bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing. 
• Performs tasks related to course detail such as weed and debris clean up. 
• Assists with golf course setup procedures. 
• Operates utility vehicle for hauling material and removing debris. 
• Performs duties such as plugging and pruning.
• Operates equipment and performs duties safely. 
• Performs many outside tasks to help prepare the golf course for daily member play.
• Operates weed eaters, fly mowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers to perform job functions.
• Safely operates equipment such as mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs.
• Cuts grass, weeds, and bushes.
• Waters plants.
• Rakes leaves, bunkers, waste areas, and cart paths.

• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

• Position operates outdoors in elements such as heat, cold, and rain. 
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 
• While performing duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, or stand in stationary position for extended periods of time, lift, bend, walk, balance, kneel, or stoop as necessary. 
• Frequently lift/move/push/pull up to 50lbs. 
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in hot, humid, or noisy environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, as job duties demand. 

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must have availability to work holidays and weekends.
• Must be available to work early shifts beginning at 6am
• Experience preferred, but not required. This is an entry-level role.
• Must be able to work proficiently. 
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
