Job Overview:
The Beach & Pool Assistant Manager assists the Director of Beach & Pools with overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of the beach and pool experience at Wychmere’s private Beach Club.
Schedule:
This is a seasonal salaried position running from approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
· 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience
· Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
· Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to acquire by start of season
· Highly responsible, reliable and proven record of organization
· Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout shift
· Ability to work outdoors for the majority of the shift
· Ability to routinely lift 35 lbs
Core Duties:
This is intended to represent the key duties for this position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Assist with the management of the Beach & Pool team in all aspects of the department's daily operations
· Assist with training, scheduling, and supervising all hourly staff in the Beach & Pool department
· Complete daily paperwork, as required, including logs and reports
· Assist with creating weekly schedules taking into consideration employee’s availability and business demands
· Proactively handle any Member/Guest concerns reacting quickly and professionally
· Ability to work well under pressure and focus attention on member/guests needs
· Ensure adequate departmental supplies are well stocked and on hand
· Ensure safe work practices of all Pool and Beach and Children's Camp Activity staff, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment
· Perform other tasks as requested by Beach and Pool Manager as well as Director of Recreation
