1st Shift – 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift – 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd Shift – 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
Operation of various types of equipment in a safe and food safe manner to process raw materials into finished product. Responsible for all assigned production areas. Assist and contribute to various areas of training; become self-reliant in each area as assigned.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training and contributing in areas assigned.
Become efficient in all facets of production needs. Maintain work area and promote good housekeeping to ensure safety and food safety.
Transforms raw materials into work in progress, coatings, and finished goods, based on customer specifications.
Maintains production records in material usage, machine downtime, coordination and communication with Supervisors, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production and Quality Assurance.
Performs all in-line testing of product.
Responsible for slurry mixing, raw material handling, production record keeping of material and machinery usage/downtime.
Responsible for assisting teammates during changeovers to ensure efficient and effective changeovers.
Perform routine cleaning tasks and changeover procedures as stated in changeover forms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
FDA regulated facility
Able to work in a fast paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
Safety shoes and earplugs are mandatory in designated areas.
Elevated and slippery conditions may be present.
Must be able to utilize different technology throughout shift, or ability to be trained on equipment.
Able to work well with co-workers and supervision in a team environment.
Able to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Detailed oriented with extreme accuracy.
Ability to "trouble shoot" problems with logic and apply technical knowledge.
Must abide by all plant rules and food safety regulations, including work safety and sanitation rules.
