Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients during the admissions process, providing clear guidance and answering questions with a friendly demeanor
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and identification documents
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to accurately input and update patient data in compliance with privacy policies
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies and confidentiality standards at all times
- Support medical administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and document preparation
- Plan, develop, organize and implement an individual external marketing strategy to achieve facility census goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical setting is highly preferred, especially in roles involving patient intake or administrative support
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, privacy laws, and insurance procedures
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance as it relates to skilled nursing and long term care
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail when handling sensitive information
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers in a professional manner
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes is essential
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, and document management
