Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide support and intervention services to individuals and families facing complex social challenges. Duties
- Investigate claims of abuse and neglect of children and families
- Maintain caseload of families that have been determined to require the protective assistance of the agency
- Take initial complaints and make contact with the family
- Interview families and children to determine validity of allegations and complete safety and risk assessments
- Testify in court hearings
- Coordinates services and make referrals to community resources
- Transports children and families; travels to foster homes, group homes, and residential facilities as needed
- Serve as an on-call worker in rotation for after hours needs

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field (i.e. criminal justice, education, or communications)
- Ability to obtain a Bachelor's degree no later than 5 years after the start of employment with the agency
- Associates degree in human services related studies
- Been employed for at least 5 years in a human service related occupation.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
