This position includes pulling and packing our retail and commercial orders to prepare for shipment, including quality checks and labeling. Restocking shipping items as needed, forming and taping boxes, packing ice in freezer, and preparing packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Make boxes according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Read pick ticket orders with accuracy and proficiency.
• Follow First In First Out procedures when pulling orders.
• Ensure product date, ID, weight, temperature, etc. are within established guidelines.
• Pack orders into boxes and seal for shipping according to company procedures.
• Stack completed boxes on pallet for shipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person.
• Support and comply with all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Adhere to current Personal Protective Equipment requirements and adopt new PPE requirements as chemicals, chemical use, or procedures change.
• Must meet set expectations and daily goals given by the supervisor based on shipping needs.
• Professional and respectful communication between team members, supervisors, and management in a supportive and welcoming environment.
• Keep area clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  
  

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and ability to read, speak, and write English so as to assimilate, retain, and apply knowledge of job functions and recognize and communicate problems and recommend solutions.
• Production assembly and food industry experience desired with a stable work history.
• Position requires general physical activities: considerable use of arms and legs, moving whole body, lifting up to 55 lbs, balancing, standing, walking, stooping, handling and positioning of materials, carrying items up and down stairs, and working in a cold/hot environment.
• Knowledge and use of computers, printers, and Microsoft Office products required.
• Reading, math, dexterity, and comprehension required of the job will be tested.
