Job Title: Hotel Sales Manager
The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by generating and maintaining business across key market segments, including corporate, group, leisure, and event-related travel. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a high-quality guest experience and successful event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Prospect new business through outbound sales calls, email campaigns, networking, and lead generation.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business.
- Respond to inquiries and manage the sales process from initial contact through contract execution.
- Create, negotiate, and finalize proposals, contracts, and agreements in alignment with company guidelines.
- Conduct property tours and coordinate site visits for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with operations and events teams to ensure smooth planning and delivery of group stays and events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting in the property’s CRM or sales management system.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and periodic business reviews.
- Represent the property at industry events, trade shows, and client functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a related field (flexible).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and performance metrics.
- Comfortable with cold outreach, relationship-building, and strategic account management.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software (specific platforms not required).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule availability as business needs require, including occasional evenings/weekends.
- Experience selling group blocks, meetings, and events.
- Familiarity with industry distribution and lead platforms.
- Established local or regional business network.
Work Environment
This role is primarily on-site with occasional travel for client meetings, networking events, and industry functions. The Hotel Sales Manager may work flexible hours to support client needs and business priorities.
