This is an Ultrasound Technologist training program, in which the incumbent learns and performs the clinical rotations under the direction and supervision of a training instructor within an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Incumbent is enrolled in a program and is expected to complete training curriculum, specified clinical rotations and specific hours of on-the-job training designated by the program. The Trainee performs a variety of indirect or direct patient care duties. Upon completion of the program, the trainee must successfully pass the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Sonography Principals and Instrumentation (SPI) examination. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Must enroll and be accepted into an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program 2. High school diploma or equivalent 3. BLS certification within 30 days of hire PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1.
