MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Two (2) years of accounting experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hospital based or healthcare accounting experience.
- Develop strong relationship with Department managers to help coordinate and monitor financial controls over the hospital’s cost centers according to approved budget guidelines.
- Evaluate financial processes to maximize efficiency in the daily accounting operations. Ensure that internal control measures are being followed.
- Maintain general ledger in order to complete and submit accurate financial data during month-end process according to predetermined deadlines. Investigate and communicate variance issues to supervisor/manager of the department and Controller.
- Develop and submit analytical financial data as needed by supervisor or department director/manager.
- Assist in completing and compiling financial support documentation for budget and external audit purposes.
- Ensure duties of any specialty focus (i.e., project, cost accounting, etc.) are completed accurately and timely.
- Participate in educational opportunities as provided by the hospital to enhance skill related abilities.
- Support performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with computer databases and spreadsheet software, with strong understanding of Excel.
