The primary purpose of the respiratory equipment technician is equipment set-up, reprocessing and cleaning, and local supply management under the direction and supervision of the respiratory therapist. Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Currently enrolled in an CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program
- Assists in the general cleanliness and neatness of the RT supply areas throughout the hospital
- Cleans and processes respiratory equipment intended for multi-patient use as guided by the current hospital infection control policies and standards.
- Assists the respiratory therapists with equipment and supply needs.
- Sets up ventilators in department and performs pre-operative checks
- Set up respiratory equipment for use such as HFNC, Bipaps, and other equipment as instructed.
- Reports defective or damaged equipment to HTM department.
- Others duties as assigned
- Ability to be on feet/walking extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 40 pounds.
