Minimum Qualifications

- Food Handlers Card
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Responsible for preparation and presentation of foods for patients, visitors, and employees.
- Responsible for cleaning and proper use of equipment.
- Assists in preparing, delivering, and retrieving special functions and coffee requests.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
- Coordinates standards of quality food handling with proper sanitation standards.
- Communicates with patients and clinical staff in a professional manner.
- Prepares meals, distributes trays to patients, collects and cleans meal trays.
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs
- Ability to effectively work in a noisy setting and under deadline pressures.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- May encounter temperature variations.
- Work are may be hot, cold, and/or wet.
- Demonstrates basic cooking skills.
- Demonstrates time management skills.
- Ability to perform basic record keeping.
- Ability to understand written and oral communication.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
