Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field AND two (2) years of supply chain experience OR high school diploma AND four (4) years of supply chain experience.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP)
- Oversees annual and periodic inventories.
- Adheres to staffing guidelines and uses overtime in an appropriate manner and helps departmental expense budget.
- Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities.
- Works with limited supervision; provides guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.
- Analyze and trend clinical supply cost, spend and utilization data, with a particular focus on high cost clinical products.
- Provides assistance in problem identification and resolution of daily operation problems within required time frames.
- Work closely with leadership and staff to maintain storeroom, reorder points and ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Supervise compliance of storage regulations and guidelines as defined by policy, regulatory directives and accrediting agencies recommendations.
- Interact on a daily basis with procure to pay department to ensure that accurate and timely orders are submitted and reconciled.
- Will rotate and take call as needed.
- Utilizes ABC analysis and usage history to eliminate dead or over stock per materials management standards
- Maintains inventory turns as defined by departmental goals.
- Works with departments to establish and maintain PAR levels, both stock and non-stock.
- Coordinates projects and assignments with supervisors on other shifts to ensure a cohesive department.
- Conducts training for entire staff regarding proper inventory order and inventory tracking processes.
- Requires prolonged sitting and time on feet, some bending, stooping and stretching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports.
- Work is performed in an office and perioperative services environment.
- Work may be stressful at times.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods, purchasing, contracting, receiving of medical supplies, services and hospital operations.
- Proven skills in project management, software implementation, training and people management.
- Demonstrates ability to recognize and solve basic hardware and software problems.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Maintains a high degree of customer service commitment with the ability to communicate data in front of diverse group.
