The Nursing Program Director will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the academic functions and be involved in various tasks such as accreditation preparation and curriculum development. They will also oversee student advising and faculty development, as well as implement recruitment and retention strategies for students. The individual will collaborate with the administrative team in strategic planning, compliance efforts, and promoting diversity and inclusion. Additionally, they will be responsible for coordinating clinical sites, collecting data, producing reports, and overseeing academic events. The program director will be involved in assessing faculty and student outcomes and will be involved in the hiring and evaluation process for faculty.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing
- Doctoral degree with a major in nursing, education, public health, administration, or related field
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Five (5) years of experience teaching in a registered nurse program
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- CNE Certification
- Two (2) years of experience as an administrator in a registered nurse program
- Higher education or nursing program accreditation experience
- Leadership, supervision and administration of academic functions.
- Membership in the Center for Nursing Education administrative team
- Serve as student academic officer
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating faculty; assignment of workloads
- Revision, development, and implementation of curriculum
- Development, analysis, review, and revision of tests
- Assessment of faculty and student outcomes
- Continuous improvement and program evaluation
- Oversight of student advising assignments
- Initiatives for student recruiting and retention
- Oversight of academic events and student activities
- Focus on customer service, professionalism, student advocacy, and student satisfaction
- Collection, analysis, and dissemination of data; production of reports
- Participation in accreditation preparation
- Compliance with Title IX, Title IV, WV RN Board, ACEN accreditation, FERPA, HIPAA, other related regulations
- Strategic planning and development of strategic goals
- Coordination of clinical sites and scheduling
- Faculty development and mentoring
- Teaching up to 3 credit equivalents per semester (fall, spring and summer)
- Advising AVP, Nursing Education regarding budget
- Standard office environment
