Experienced Movers & Box Truck Drivers Needed

WV Second Chance Moving is looking to add reliable, hardworking team members to our crew. We have built a strong reputation in our area through professionalism, customer service, and treating customers’ belongings with care. We are looking for people who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and understand they are representing our company every day.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license required
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• MUST have prior professional moving, delivery, or furniture handling experience with an actual company
• Experience driving a box truck required
• Customer service skills are a must
• Must be able to lift and move heavy furniture safely
• Must understand proper furniture protection and care to avoid damage to furniture, homes, floors, and walls
• Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on the job
• No smoking during jobs
• No profanity while on the job or around customers
• Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to work varying schedules throughout the week
• Must have leadership skills and be able to work well with a team
• Must have a go getter attitude and be willing to learn, grow, and move up within the company
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• References will be checked

Compensation & Probation Period:

• Starting pay is $15/hour during a 90 day probationary period
• During the first 90 days, we reserve the right to terminate employment at any time if the employee is not a good fit for the company for any reason
• After successfully completing the 90 day probationary period, pay will increase based on performance, reliability, attitude, leadership, and overall fit with the company
• Employees may also become eligible for pay by the job, which offers higher earning potential than hourly pay

Schedule Expectations:

This is not a typical Monday through Friday office job. Scheduling may vary weekly based on moves booked. Some weeks may include long stretches of work with limited days off. Flexibility, reliability, and availability are extremely important.

We are NOT looking for:

• People with only personal moving experience (“helped friends move,” etc.)
• Unreliable workers
• Individuals with poor attitudes or lack of professionalism
• People who cannot work well with a team or customers
