Position Overview
We are seeking an advanced-level Radiologic Technologist capable of operating a diverse range of imaging equipment. In this multi-modality role, you will perform general radiographs, fluoroscopy, CAT scans, ultrasounds, and mammograms. Operating under general supervision, you will balance technical precision with compassionate patient care, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and a safe, comfortable experience for our community members.
Note: This position may also involve scheduling, supervising, and training subordinate staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Imaging: Prepare and operate advanced radiographic equipment to perform general X-rays, fluoroscopy, CT scans, ultrasounds, and mammography.
- Quality Assurance: Check radiographs for optimal image clarity and perform necessary follow-up imaging to guarantee high-quality diagnostic results.
- Patient Care: Explain examination procedures clearly to patients, alleviating anxiety and ensuring their cooperation and comfort throughout the process.
- Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to regulated methods, safety procedures, and requisition instructions to ensure the utmost safety for patients and staff.
- Department Administration: Maintain imaging equipment, manage supplies, and ensure accurate, up-to-date patient records and radiological reports.
- Leadership: Assist with scheduling and provide supervision and training to junior team members as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- As required by licensure and certification standards.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Must hold a current license or temporary permit to practice radiologic technology issued by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners.
Experience:
- None required. (New graduates who meet the licensure requirements are welcome to apply!)
Important Employment Conditions
- Scheduling Flexibility: Candidates must be available to cover on-call shifts as needed. Mandatory overtime is an essential job function of this position.
