Job Summary: The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, appearance, and basic functionality of the mall's common areas, public restrooms, and other designated spaces. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, pleasant, and well maintained environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities: Housekeeping Duties: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, walls, and surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, including fixtures, mirrors, and replenishing supplies. Empty trash containers and-dispose of waste properly. Clean and maintain common areas, including walkways, seating areas, and entrances. Conduct deep cleaning and specialized cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet shampooing or floor polishing. Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies, such as spills and accidents.
Maintenance Duties: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and addressing basic plumbing issues. Assist with the general upkeep of equipment and facilities, reporting any major issues to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a working knowledge of building systems and fire protection equipment as required.
Other Responsibilities: Maintain a well-stocked and organized supply cart with necessary cleaning materials and equipment. Follow established safety protocols and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding cleaning schedules, maintenance needs, and any relevant issues. Contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere by interacting with staff and visitors in a courteous manner.
Qualifications: Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Reliability and punctuality.
Work Environment: This position primarily involves working indoors and outdoors within a mall environment. Some physical exertion may be required. Work may occasionally involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment
