Overview
WuXi AppTec is looking for a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our biophysics team in Natick, MA. This role will provide lab support for both small and large molecule client projects using a range of biophysical techniques.
Responsibilities
- Support biophysical binding assays
- Follow SOP’s and perform SPR, TSA, MST, and other biophysical assays as required
- Support instrument maintenance
- Understanding of protein sciences, including binding affinity and kinetics
- Effectively communicate with internal team colleagues and external clients to promote world class services
Qualifications
Experience / Education
- Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, or a lab-based discipline required. 2 year of work experience is preferred
- Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures and technical proficiency with in vitro based assays
- Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to seamlessly fit into a team-oriented environment
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Basic troubleshooting and planning skills
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication abilities
- In vitro lab skills (pipetting, measuring, following lab protocols)
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions.
- Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to biohazards, chemicals
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
- Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
- Ability to Lift 10 lbs. routinely
- Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
- Ability to push/pull 10 lbs. routinely
- Clarity of Vision
The anticipated base pay rate for this role is $21.00 - $28.00/hour

Salary : $21 - $28
