Duties
- Develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards in production environments.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Facilitate safety training sessions, including CPR, First Aid, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and Environmental Management Systems (EMS), ensuring all employees are equipped with necessary knowledge.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety incidents, inspection reports, training records, and compliance audits through detailed report writing.
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health standards by monitoring hazardous materials handling, waste management procedures, and environmental regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills that reinforce safety protocols across all shifts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA Safety Regulations, Hazardous Materials Handling, and Environmental Management Systems are highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Law and Workers' Compensation processes to support injury management and reporting.
- Familiarity with environmental regulatory compliance including EPA regulations and hazardous materials regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hazard assessments, root cause analysis, and report writing with clarity and precision.
- Strong communication skills for delivering training sessions and collaborating with cross-functional teams on safety initiatives.
- Occupational health expertise with a focus on employee health standards, environmental health practices, and regulatory compliance in production settings.
